    Drink Rum with Expats

    THU 23 JAN 2020 | 7.30pm | Full £12 Conc £8 | AGE 16 +

Celebrating their final year as Europeans, island-monkeys Becca and Louise got invited to the 2018 European Capital of Culture in Malta, having missed out on Hull last year. They went to drink rum with Brits abroad but found a lot more than they expected.

Lads on tour Sh!t Theatre want to talk about home, your home, what we are doing in your home, what you might be doing in our home and how cheap the beers are. From our small island in the sea to another small island in the sea, Sh!t Theatre found mystery and murder in the fight to be European.

Here it is: another excuse for the multi award-winning Sh!t Theatre to get drunk on stage.

2019 The Scotsman Fringe First Award winner

“The show is a masterclass in controlled chaos… Sh!t Theatre’s irreverent, energetic, rum-fuelled new show is the company’s best yet.”

    The Undefinable by She Goat

    The Undefinable

    THU 12 MAR 2020 | Full £12 | Conc £8 | 7.30pm | AGE 16 +

Live radio gig-theatre about unconventional relationships and the underrepresented qualities of love.

Two dudes. Well, kind of dudes. A garage studio. A late night broadcast.  Time slips between noughties love-pop, 70s folk fever and 18th century French philosophy. The dudes slip between instruments. Everything gets tangled.  Our kind of love is tangled and slippery. Love in the in-between. Love that doesn’t have language yet.  This is the Undefinable.

Clear the decks for historical wigs, irreverent nudity, reckless dancing, and a whole lot of coffee – as we embark on a queer-platonic mix-tape into the unknown future and forgotten past of doing love differently.

      ‘surreally funny…delightful playfulness’

    ★★★★ THE STAGE on DoppelDänger

‘completely engrossing – both Pastor and Turner are incredibly multi-talented’

    Political Party

    Thu 25 Apr 7.30pm | Full £10 | Conc £6 | Age 12+

Do you ever get confused or overwhelmed by politics?

Do you ever feel like the only way to make a difference is to change everything?

Do you ever think that if you can’t change everything immediately there’s no point trying?

Luca reached a point where thinking about politics made her want to lie down on the pavement and not get up. Instead of doing this she is throwing a party. A political party. There will be drinks, dancing and eggs! No experts. No big words.

This is a show about getting messy with the messiness of politics.

An ARC Stockton Production co-commissioned by the Albany, Camden People’s Theatre, Northern Stage and Unity Theatre

    Beowulf

    Thu 7 Mar 7.30pm | Full £10 | Conc £6 | Age 16+

Before we begin, I should warn you: This story ends with a dragon. But every story ends with a dragon. If you make it to ‘Happily Ever After’ and there isn’t a dragon nearby … the story isn’t over yet.

Seth Kriebel’s Beowulf is an interactive performance-game inviting you to explore the world of a legendary story from our ancient past … without leaving your seat.

An evocative soundscape accompanies your journey through strange lands, discovering forgotten monsters and bringing a Viking hero’s tale back to life 1,000 years after his adventures. Each show is unique, guided by your choices… illuminating the original epic and asking why, after all these years, we still tell each other stories about monsters that lurk in dark.

    “Delivers both laughter and poetry”
